Privacy Policy

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information. Your name, email address, and a hashed password when you create an account, plus profile preferences you set in the app.
• Financial data you enter. Income, expenses, bills, invoices, goals, categories, business entities, and any notes or attachments you choose to record.
• Connected-account data. When you authorize a connection to a third-party financial provider (for example, a bank via Plaid or a payment processor via Stripe), we receive transaction, balance, and account-metadata information limited to the scopes you approve. We do not store your bank login credentials.
• Usage and device data. Log entries, IP address, browser and device type, and timestamps for security, debugging, and rate-limiting purposes.
• Communications. Messages you send to support, including the contents of those messages.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and improve ReservWise features.
• Generate AI-assisted summaries, predictions, and routing suggestions you request.
• Authenticate users and protect accounts from unauthorized access or abuse.
• Communicate with you about your account, security, and product updates.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

Some ReservWise features send your prompts and the financial context required to answer them to large-language-model providers (currently Anthropic and OpenRouter). We send only the data needed to fulfill the specific request — not your full account history. Providers are bound by their own terms and do not retain your inputs to train their public models. You can disable AI features at any time from Settings.

We share information only as needed to run ReservWise and only with:

• Service providers. Hosting (Hostinger VPS), database (PostgreSQL), email delivery, AI providers (Anthropic, OpenRouter), connected-finance providers (Plaid, Stripe). These providers may only process your data on our instructions.
• Legal compliance. When required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ReservWise, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers. If ReservWise is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers for targeted advertising.

We retain your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal data within 30 days, except for records we are legally required to keep (for example, payment records, audit logs, or fraud-prevention data), which we retain for the period required by law.

We use industry-standard practices including TLS in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive fields, hashed passwords, scoped API tokens, and audit logging of administrative actions. No system is perfectly secure, and you are responsible for keeping your account credentials safe.

• Access and export. You can view your data inside the app at any time.
• Correction. You can edit any record you created.
• Deletion. You can delete records or your entire account.
• Marketing. Account and security emails are required while your account is active. You can opt out of optional product emails from your settings.

California residents and residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws have additional rights including the right to know, delete, correct, and limit certain uses of personal information. Contact us at privacy@reservwise.com to exercise these rights.

ReservWise is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

ReservWise is operated from the United States. By using ReservWise from outside the United States you consent to your information being processed in the United States.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a revised “Last updated” date. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice before they take effect.
